The Digital Assets Conference 2026, the largest institutional digital assets gathering in Latin America, held its second edition of the DAC Awards during the event, which took place in São Paulo on 16 September.
The awards aim to honour journalists who demonstrated excellence in covering the main developments in the digital economy and financial markets over the year.
“For us, it is a pleasure to recognise the professionals who follow the transformations of this market closely and help translate complex topics for an increasingly broad audience. The press has a fundamental role in widening the debate and bringing society closer to the digital assets sector,” says Tássia Skolaude, Director of Institutional Relations at Mercado Bitcoin.
Journalists of the Year category
The main novelty of this edition was the debut of the Journalists of the Year category. The winners, Aaron Stanley and Lara Asano, were awarded a trip to cover DAC New York in person in 2027, linking the national debate to international discussions in the sector.
