Solana Mobile has struck a partnership with Ledger, naming the French hardware wallet maker its first hardware expansion partner. The alliance was unveiled at Ledger Op3n 2026 in Paris, where Ledger also presented its new device, the Ledger Atom, announced on October 15.
Under the agreement, Solana Mobile's Seeker application, which combines a wallet and a dApp store, will come preinstalled on the Ledger Atom. The integration gives users access to more than 1,500 Solana dApps directly from the device.
The Ledger Atom is built on the Android Open Source Project but pairs it with a secure element carrying EAL6+ certification, running on Ledger OS. According to the companies, the device's screen and touch controls are physically isolated from the Android operating system, and transaction approvals and signatures are handled within an isolated secure environment separate from the rest of the device's software.
A deal struck amid security scrutiny
The partnership comes at a sensitive moment for Ledger. The company disclosed that its products had suffered a supply-chain attack beginning on October 9, just days before the Atom's unveiling in Paris. No further detail on the nature or resolution of that incident was given at the event.
For European users, who make up a significant share of Ledger's customer base, the timing places the new hardware launch under additional scrutiny. The company has not said how the attack affects existing devices or whether it bears on the design choices behind the Atom's isolated secure environment.
Continuity for existing Seeker users
Solana Mobile said it will continue supporting owners of its existing Seeker phone, even as it expands its wallet software to third-party hardware through Ledger. The company pointed to the scale of activity already running through the Seeker ecosystem, citing USD 13,000 million in transaction volume and 154 million operations to date.
The SKR token remains central to that ecosystem, functioning as an incentive mechanism for participants, application developers and hardware manufacturers alike. With Ledger now folded into that structure as a manufacturing partner, Solana Mobile is betting that distributing its software across established hardware brands, rather than relying solely on its own phone, will widen adoption of its wallet and dApp store.
Neither company detailed pricing or availability dates for the Ledger Atom beyond its October 15 announcement, nor did they specify a rollout timeline for the Seeker integration.
